Michael S. Allongo

In 2015, Mr. Michael S. Allongo, founded The Allongo Law Firm, LLC based on his experience as an attorney specialized in immigration and criminal cases.
Since then, he has focused his practice on complex immigration matters saving numberous clients from deportation and before USCIS in various matters including visa petitions, applications for residency, deferred action (DACA), naturalizations, etc.
Mr. Allongo studied at J. Reuben Clark School of Law after which he clerked for the Hon. Dennis V. Nieves, J.S.C. in Middlesex County. Following his clerkship he worked as an assistant prosecutor in the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office for several years before going into private practice.
Mr. Allongo is fluent in Spanish and German. He is a member of the Middlesex County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Committee, and Criminal Procedure Practice Committee. In addition, he has served as Chairman of their Committee on Immigration Law since 2016.
As part of his contributions in the community, Mr. Allongo has given lectures focused on the practice of immigration for the continuing legal education of other attorneys. He has also given numerous presentations in different municipalities around New Jersey to inform non-attorneys of their rights. He has been interviewed by news outlets including the television show Law on the Line, covering a variety of contemporary legal issues of general interest to the public, including the impact of policy changes made by the Trump administration.
